As a graduate of PSPP 201 Planning, you’ll understand the key steps in effectively planning any public sector procurement, how to obtain approvals to proceed, and be aware of key areas of risk when conducting the solicitation process.

You’ll learn how to identify the important components of any solicitation document and resulting contract, and understand the importance of maintaining appropriate and complete documentation in procurement files.

Upon completion of this course, participants will have the necessary knowledge and tools to conduct the solicitation and award phase of the procurement and contract management cycle. They will be able to select an appropriate solicitation method based on requirements, draft Contract B terms, conduct an effective evaluation process, finalize contract award and handle vendor debriefings.

Upon completion of PSPP 203 Managing and Evaluation, you’ll have the necessary knowledge and tools for managing and evaluating contracts – the final phase of the procurement and contract management cycle.

You’ll develop techniques to effectively manage ongoing contracts and handle any issues that may arise, while sustaining positive relationships with service providers and contractors.

Lessons learned through post-contract evaluation will help you to identify areas for improvement and changes needed to processes and documents before your next procurement.

Upon completion of this course, you will have the necessary knowledge and skills to perform effectively during all phases of the procurement and contract management cycle.

You will have reviewed and reflected on the key components of each step of the cycle and practiced the skills learned in levels 1 and 2 through interactive discussions and written assignments. Upon successful completion, you will receive your Public Sector Procurement Program certificate.
